PROPRIETARY Sandvik SAF 2205 Heat Treatments
- Solution annealing at 1020-1100°C (1870-2010°F), rapid cooling in air or water. For medical wires batch tempering at 450°C (840°F) for 1-3 h. In a continuous conveyor furnace, the temperature should be increased preferably to about 500°C (930°F) for 3-10 minutes.
