SAE 431 Heat Treatments
- Quench in oil at 52°C +/-6°C from 1020°C +/-14°C and cool to room temperature in water. Soak at -73°C +/-11°C in a suitable refrigerant for 2 hours, temper at 288°C +/-14°C for 2 hours and retemper at 288°C +/-14°C for 2 hours.
