ISO 4057-431-00-X Heat Treatments


  • Hot forming: 1100-800°C, slow cooling; Annealing: (+A): 680-800°C, furnace or air cooling; Quenching and tempering (+QT1) - Quenching: 950-1050°C, oil or air cooling; Tempering: 750-800°C + 650-700°C. In cases where the nickel content is on the lower side of the range, a single tempering at 620-720°C can be sufficient. Quenching and tempering (+QT2) - Quenching: 950-1050°C, oil or air cooling; Tempering: 600-650°C.
