PN 20HG Heat Treatments
- The sample taken in long. direction: Hardening in oil at 880°C, then Tempering in air at 180°C; Common HT: Heated for open die forging: 1100-850°C or for Die forging 1150-850°C; Softened at T= 650-700°C; Normalized at T= 860-900°C; Carbonized with powder at T=880-950°C or salt bath at T= 900-950°C or gas at T=880-950°C. Cooling in oil (water) or steam water at T=160-250°C or air; Hardened at T=860-900°C and cooled in water or oil or steam water at 160-250°C; Annealed at T=650-680°C than cooled in the furnace; Re-hardened at T=810-840°C, cooled in water (oil) or steam water at 160-250°C. Tempered at 150-200°C.
