Heat Treatments
- <b>Normalized</b> at 840-870°C <br /> <b>Quenched</b> at 820-850°C <br /> <b>Tempered</b> at 530-670°C <br /> <b>Surface hardened</b> at 820-890°C
- Austenitizing (quenching in oil): 820-860°C, t > 30 min. Synthetic quenchants may also be used. Tempering: 540-680°C, t > 60 min. A mandatory end quench test shall be carried out at 850+/- 5°C.
