B.S. 1 C 45 Heat Treatments
- Austenitizing (quenching in water or oil): 820-860°C (30 min.); Tempering: 550-660°C 60 min.); Normalizing: 840-880°C (30 min.) The temperature at the lower end of the range are applicable to hardening in water, at the upper end for hardening in oil.
