PROPRIETARY VDM alloy 80A Heat Treatments


  • In general, the heat treatment includes three stages:
    Solution annealing at 1050 to 1080°C (1922 - 1976°F) for 8 hours followed by air cooling
    Stabilizing annealing at 840 to 860°C (1544 - 1580°F) for 24 hours followed by air cooling
    Age hardening annealing at 690 to 710°C (1274 - 1310°F) for 16 hours followed by air cooling
