ASTM A 335 Grade P921 Heat Treatments
- Normalized in range 910°C - 950°C (1670°F - 1740°F), air cooled and tempered in range 730°C - 770°C (1350°C - 1420°C).
It is recommended that the temperature for tempering should be at least 50°C (100°F) above the intended service temperature; consequently, the purchaser should advise the manufacturer if the service temperature is to be over 600°C (1100°F).
