PROPRIETARY CT PowderRange 316L F Heat Treatments
- Stress relief: Heating at 371°C/1h. or substitute solution anneal for improved corrosion resistance.
Solution Annealing: Heating at 1038°C/1h for every 75 mm of thickness, followed by a water quench.
Hot Isostatic Pressed condition: It is recommended as standard practice for microstructure homogenization, removal of residual spatter-included voids, keyhole porosities, as well as to heal any shrinkage-induced micro-cracks in the material.
To achieve full density: Minimum pressure of 100 MPa at 1204°C for 240 min in argon.
