GB A30158 Heat Treatments
- Normalizing and tempering: Normalizing at 900-960°C, tempering at 680-730°C.
- For S =< 30mm, normalized at a temperature of 900 to 960°C, tempered at 680 to 730°C;
For S > 30 mm, quenched and tempered or normalized and tempered. Quenching temperature not less than 900°C, tempering temperature 680°C to 750°C; Normalizing temperature 900°C to 960°C, tempering temperature 680°C to 730°C, but rapid cooling after normalizing.
