DIN 23Mn6 Heat Treatments
- Hardening: 840-900°C (Temperatures at the lower end of the range are generally used for water, and those at the upper end for oil quenching; Time for austenitizing as a guide: at least 30 min.);
Quenching agent: Water (Other quenching agents such as synthetic quenchants may also be used.);
Tempering: 550-650°C (Time for tempering as a guide: at least 1h.);
End quench test austenitizing: 880 ± 5°C (Time for austenitizing as a guide: 30-35 min.).
