PROPRIETARY SIRAPID 3344 PM Heat Treatments
- Soft Annealing: Heat to 850 - 990°C, cool slowly. Stress Relieving: should be carried out by heating to 650°C, holding for one hour at heat, followed by air cooling. Hardening: Heat up to 450 - 500°C, then preheat to 850 - 900°C. Harden from a temperature of 1140 - 1180°C followed by inert gas quenching or warm bath 550°C. Tempering: Min. 3 x 1.5 hour at 560°C.
