PROPRIETARY 19MnB4 Heat Treatments
- Hot-forming: 1150 - 850°C. Normalizing (N+): 880 - 920°C, air cooling. Quenching (+Q): 850- 890°C, polymer, water cooling. Tempering (+T): 450 - 650°C, air cooling. Stress-relieving (+SR): 50°C under the temperature of tempering. Stress-relieving annealing: 180 - 200°C, air cooling. Soft annealing (+A): 650 - 700°C, air cooling. Isothermal annealing (+I): 880 - 900°C, cooling to 690°C then air. Spheroidizing (+AC): 680 - 700°C, air cooling. End quench hardenability test: 920°C, water cooling. Mechanical properties at different tempering temperautres obtaind after quenching at 890°C in water.
