PROPRIETARY TD2 Heat Treatments
- Austenitization: homogenization at 750°C (holding 0.5h per 25 mm thickness). The best optimized temperature range is 1020 - 1050°C. Quenched and tempered twice at 500 - 550°Cfor 1h/25mm. Stress relieving: heating at 650 - 700°C in vacuum furnace to avoid decarburization for 0.5h/25mm, slow cooling in furnace. Annealing: heating at 860°C ±10°C for 0.5h/25mm. Cooling 60°C/h max down to 780°C, cooling 20°C/h max within 780 - 700°C, still air-cooling.
