PROPRIETARY THYRODUR 2379 Heat Treatments
- Soft annealing at 830 - 860°C, furnace cooling. Stress-relief annealing at approx. 650 - 700°C, furnace cooling. Hardening at 1000 - 1050°C, air, oil or saltbath quenching at 500 - 550°C. Tempering at 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 525, 550 or 600°C. Special heat treatment: Hardening at 1050 - 1080°C, air, oil or saltbath quenching at 500 - 550°C. Tempering (three times) at 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 525, 550 or 600°C.
