NMX Grade T1a Heat Treatments
- After the welding operation, the tubes must be thermally treated at a temperature of 910°C or more and cooling in air or in a cooling chamber of a furnace with controlled atmosphere.
- The hot-finished tubes are heat treated at a temperature of 650°C or higher. Cold finished tubes after the last drawing step should be heat treated at a temperature of 650°C or higher or may be supplied in the condition of total annealing, isothermal annealing or normalized and tempered. If the tube is provided in the latter condition, the minimum tempering temperature is 650°C.
