ABS ABS Grade L Heat Treatments

  • Tubes are to be either hot finished or cold-drawn. Cold-drawn tubes are to be heat-treated by isothermal annealing or by full annealing at a temperature of 650°C (1200°F) or higher. Cold-drawn tubes may also be heat-treated by normalizing and tempering at 650°C (1200°F) or higher. Hot-finished tubes are to be heat-treated at a temperature of 650°C (1200°F) or higher.
