- Condition H: hardened and tempered by heating to 1010 (+/-30°C) sufficient for austenitization, holding for at least 1/2 h, rapid air- or oil-quenching, reheating to 565°C minimum, and holding for at least 1 h and then air-cooling to provide the specified properties
