ASTM F 2281 416 Heat Treatments
- Condition H: hardened by heating to 982 - 1038°C (1800 to 1900°F), held for at least 1/2 h and rapid air or oil quenched, then reheated to 565°C (1050°F) minimum for at least 1 h and air cooled to provide the specified properties.
Condition HT: hardened by heating to 982 - 1038°C (1800 to 1900°F), held for at least 1/2 h and rapid air or oil quenched, then reheated to 274°C (525°F) minimum for at least 1 h and air cooled to provide the specified properties.
