ASME SA-671 CH 100 Heat Treatments


  • Post-welded heat treatment: 550 - 580°C (1025 - 1085°F);
    Quenching: 800 - 925°C (1475 - 1700°F);
    Tempering: 560 - 635°C (1050 - 1175°F) (Prior to the tempering treatment, the plates may be subjected to an intermediate heat treatment consisting of heating to a temperature in the range from 630 to 700°C (1165 to 1290°F) and either air-cooled or water quenched).
