ASME SA-336 Grade F911 Heat Treatments
- Forgings shall be annealed or normalized and tempered but alternatively may be liquid quenched and tempered when mutually agreed upon between the manufacturer and the purchaser.
The austenitizing temperature shall be in the range of 1040 to 1080°C (1900 to 1975°F). Normalizing or liquid quenching shall be followed by tempering, temperature range shall be 740 - 780°C (1365 - 1435°F).
