EN FE-PL1505 Heat Treatments

  • Hardened and tempered (U): heating within range 955 - 995°C, air cooling or oil quenching; + heating within range 615 - 655°C, air cooling.
  • Hardened and tempered (U): heating within range 955-995°C, oil or water quenching; + heating within range 595-645°C, air cooling.
    A stress relief tempering between quenching and tempering could be done at 350°C minimum in order to avoid risk of quenching crack.
