- Hardened and tempered (II): Hardened from 960 to 990°C (air, permitted for consumer oil quenched) and tempered from 720 to 740°C (air); Hardened and tempered (III); hardened from 960 to 990°C (air, permitted for consumer oil quenched) and tempered from 620 to 660°C (air); Hardened and tempered (IV): hardened from 960 to 990°C (oil) and tempered from 600 to 640°C (air);
- Quenched and tempered or precipitation treated to lower strength: hardening (960-990°C) / air, tempering (720-740°C) / air. Quenched and tempered or precipitation treated: hardening (960-990°C) / air, tempering (620-660°C) / air. Quenched and tempered or precipitation treated to higher strength: hardening (960-990°C) / oil, tempering (600-640°C) / air.
