PROPRIETARY K T W - Ni Heat Treatments
- Annealing at 740 - 760°C for 4- 6h, slow furnace cooling. Stress relieving at appr. 650°C for 1 - 2h, slow cooling. Hardening at 850 - 870°C. Quenching in oil, polymer or hot bath at appr. 350°C. Quenching at 870 - 900°C, quenching in still or forced air; or vacuum hardening. Quenching in oil or polymer – risk of tension cracks, please interrupt at 300 - 400°C. Tempering at 450 - 650°C. Nitriding possible within limits. Preheating before use 200 - 300°C – necessary.
