PROPRIETARY UD 25 Heat Treatments


  • Soft annealing: heat to 710°-750°C, hold at temperature, cool in furnace to 600°C (15° per hour), then cool in air. Stress relieving: after rough-machining, heat to 500°C-550°C, hold at temperature, cool in furnace to 400°C then cool in air; Hardening: preheat to 600°-650°C austenitization at 840°-870°C, oil quenching; Tempering: heat to 550°-650°C according to the desired hardness, hold at temperature.
