ASTM A 335 Grade P36 Class 1 Heat Treatments
- Normalized at minimum 900°C (1650°F) and tempered at minimum 595°C (1100°F).
It is recommended that the temperature for tempering should be at least 50°C (100°F) above the intended service temperature; consequently, the purchaser should advise the manufacturer if the service temperature is to be over 600°C (1100°F).
