PROPRIETARY MT33V Heat Treatments


  • Isothermal annealing at 820°C, hold for 0.5 - 1h, furnace cooling to 740°C, hold at temperature for at least 6h, cool by 10 °C/h to 700°C, cooling in air. Stress relieving at 600 - 650°C, hold for 4 - 6h, slow cooling in furnace to 300 - 350°C, cooling in air. Hardening: Initial preheating to 350 - 450°C, second preheating to 750 - 850°C, heat to a temperature in the range 1020 - 1050°C and hold at temperature, cooling in air, oil or salt bath at 500 - 550°C. Tempering at 560 - 640°C for at least 3h.
