PROPRIETARY MC 212 M Heat Treatments
- Hot forming: 1200 to 850°C, slowly or in air; Annealing +A: 670 to 710°C, slowly (15°C/h) until 600°C; Treating to ferrite-pearlite structure and hardness range +FP, stage 1: 950 to 1000°C, quickly to stage 2; Treating to ferrite-pearlite structure and hardness range +FP, stage 2: 630 to 650°C, keeping about 3 hours, after that cooling in air; Normalizing: 860 - 890°C, cooling in air; Stress relieving: 650 - 680°C, cooling in air; Carburizing: 860 - 900°C, cooling in air; Hardening: 830 - 870°C, quenching in oil or in water; Tempering: 150 - 200°C, cooling in air.
