PROPRIETARY UM12 Heat Treatments


  • Soft annealing: heating to 760-820°C, holding at temperature cooling in furnace to 650°C (15°C hour) then cooling in stationary air; Stress relieving: after rough machining, heating to 600-680°C holding at temperature cooling in furnace to 500°C, then cooling in stationary air; Hardening: preheating at 600-650°C austenitization at 770-810°C oil-quenching; Tempering: heating to 150-250°C holding at temperature.
