- For bars: Solution annealing at 1040-1100°C (1900-2010°F), rapid cooling in air or water. For billets: Solution annealing at 1040-1120°C (1900-2050°F), rapid cooling in air or water. For hollow bars: Stress relieving at 850-950°C (1560-1740°F), cooling in air. Solution annealing at 1000-1100°C (1830-2010°F), rapid cooling in air or water.
