- Heat treated at 250-425°C; Duration: 30 min to 4h; Air cooling; The optimum heat treatment conditions may be very different. The spring manufacturer shall choose those conditions answering the purpose; The heat treatment data refer to compression springs, torsion and tension (springs without initial tension); The lower temperature is recommended for extension springs with prestress.
- Hot forming at range 1150 to 850°C/ air cooling; Solution annealing (+AT) at range 1060 to 1140°C/ air or water cooling
