ASTM A 234 Grade WP91 Type 1 Heat Treatments

  • Normalized at min 1040°C (1900°F) and max 1080°C (1975°F) and tempered at range of 730 - 800°C (1350 - 1470°F) as a final heat treatment. Liquid quenching followed by tempering shall be permitted by the purchaser with the minimum tempering temperature 730 °C (1350°F).
    Alternative heat treatment shall be the purchaser’s responsibility to subsequently temper the entire fitting in the temperature range of 730 - 800°C (1350 -1470°F) as a final heat treatment.
