ASME SA-336 Grade F91 Type 1 Heat Treatments
- The austenitizing temperature shall be in the range of 1040 to 1080°C (1900 to 1975°F). Normalizing or liquid quenching shall be followed by tempering in the range of 730 - 800°C (1350 - 1470°F).
Any section thickness greater than 75 mm shall be normalized and tempered or liquid quenched and tempered at the manufacturer’s option.
