PN 18HGM Heat Treatments
- Hardening in oil at 860ºC then Tempering in air at 190ºC.
- The sample taken in long. direction: HT1 - Hardening at 860°C, cooling in oil and Tempering at 190°C and cooling in air. HT2 - Hardening at 860°C, cooling in oil and Tempering at 190°C and cooling in air. Option HT2 only at the request of the customer agreed when ordering; Common HT: Heated for open die forging: 1100-850°C or for Die forging 1150-850°C; Softened at T= 650-700°C; Normalized at T= 870-900°C; Carbonized with powder at T=880-950°C or salt bath at T= 900-950°C or gas at T=880-950°C. Cooling in oil (water) or steam water at T=160-250°C or air; Hardened at T=860-900°C and cooled in water or oil or steam water at 160-250°C; Annealed not applicable; Re-hardened at T=800-840°C, cooled in water (oil) or steam water at 160-250°C. Tempered at 170-200°C.
