- Cementation process at 880 to 930°C
Hardening (core) at 850 to 880°C, oil quenching
Hardening (surface) at 810 to 840°C, oil quenching
Tempering at 150 to 200°C.
Tempering for Jominy test at 880 ± 5°C - Carburized: 880-930°C; Harden core: oil quenching: 850-880°C; Harden case: oil quenching: 810-840°C; temper: 150-200°C. Final heat treatment: Oil quenching: 875°C +/- 15°C; Temper: 200°C +/- 50°C.
