ASME SA-693 Type 631 Heat Treatments
- Solution Annealing Treatment:
1065 ± 15°C, water quench.
Precipitation Hardening Treatment:
954 ± 8°C, hold 10 minutes, cool rapidly to room temperature. Cool within 24 hours to -73 ± 6°C, hold not less than 8 hours. Warm in air to room temperature. Heat to 510 ± 6°C, hold 1 hour, air cool.
Alternative Treatment:
760 ± 15°C, hold 90 minutes, cool to 15 ± 3°C within 1 hour. Hold not less than 30 minutes, heat to 566 ± 6°C, hold for 90 minutes, air cool.
