Heat Treatments
- Solution Annealing Treatment:<br />1050 ± 25°C (1925 ± 50°F), cool as required.<br />Samples cut from the plate, sheet, or strip shall conform to the requirements contained in the mechanical properties table when precipitation hardened as follows:<br />Precipitation Hardening Treatment:<br /> 482 ± 8°C (900 ± 15°F), 1 hour, air cool.<br /> 496 ± 8°C (925 ± 15°F), 4 hours, air cool.<br /> 552 ± 8°C (1025 ± 15°F), 4 hours, air cool.<br />579 ± 8°C (1075 ± 15°F), 4 hours, air cool.<br />593 ± 8°C (1100 ± 15°F), 4 hours, air cool.<br />621 ± 8°C (1150 ± 15°F), 4 hours, air cool.<br />760 ± 8°C (1400 ± 15°F), 2 hours, air cool plus 621 ± 8°C (1150 ± 15°F), 4 hours, air cool.
