Heat Treatments

  • Material shall be supplied spheroidize annealed (Annealed). Response to Heat Treatment: The hardness value contained in the mechanical properties table for the Hardened condition is the minimum value required in the centre of a test piece with a maximum diameter of 30mm following hardening by oil quenching from 850°C. The hardness value shown for the Hardened and Tempered (H+T) condition is that required after final heat treatment.
