B.S. 945 M 38 Heat Treatments
- Carburized for at least 1h at the hardening temperature between 800°C and 930°C. After cooling to room temperature they shall be reheated to the single quenching temperature and quenched in oil. Hardened at 840 - 870°C, quenched in oil; Tempered at 550 - 680°C.
- Hardening (quenching in oil): 840-870 C; Tempering: 550-680 C
