AFNOR NF G35CrMo4 Heat Treatments
- Quenched and tempered (+QT1): Air quenched at 880 to 940°C and tempered at 600 to 650°C
Quenched and tempered (+QT2): Oil quenched at 880 to 940°C and tempered at 200 to 250°C
Quenched and tempered (+QT3): Water quenched at 880 to 940°C and tempered at 550 to 600°C
Structure:
- for +QT1 condition – Ferrite, pearlite and bainitic
- for +QT2 condition – Bainitic and martensitic
- for +QT3 condition – Martensitic - N: Normalized at 890-950°C, air cooled, tempered at 600-650°C
QT1: Water or oil quenched, tempered at 550-600°C
QT2: Water or oil quenched, tempered at 600-650°C
