AFNOR NF 35 CD4-M Heat Treatments
- Quenched and tempered (I);
Air quenched at 880 to 940°C and tempered at 600 to 650°C;
Quenched and tempered (II);
Oil quenched at 880 to 940°C and tempered at 200 to 250°C;
Quenched and tempered (III);
Water quenched at 880 to 940°C and tempered at 550 to 600°C;
Structure:
- for +QT1 condition – Ferrite, pearlite and bainitic
- for +QT2 condition – Bainitic and martensitic
- for +QT3 condition – Martensitic - Normalizing: 880-940°C; tempering: 600-650°C.
