AFNOR NF 16Mo3 Heat Treatments
- Normalized (+N): 890-950°C, cooled in air.
Quenched and tempered (+QT): 890 to 960°C, cooled in oil, water or polymer, and tempered at 620-700°C, cooled in air or furnace. - Normalized (+N): 890-950°C; air cooling. Normalizing includes Normalizing Forming, Normalized Forming shall be carried out in a temperature range from 880-1000°C.
