EN 1.1149 Heat Treatments
- Austenitizing (at least 30 min), quenching in water: 860-900°C (the temperatures at the lower end of the range are generally applicable to quenching in water and those at the upper end for quenching in oil), other quenching agents such as synthetic quenchants may also be used; Tempering: 550-660°C (at least 60 min); Normalizing: 880-940°C, austenitizing (at least 30 min).
- Austenitizing (quenching in water): 860-900°C, t > 30 min. Tempering: 550-660°C, t > 60 min. Normalizing: 880-920°C, t > 30 min.
