EN 1.7380 Heat Treatments
- Austenitized: 920 - 980°C; Tempered: 650 - 750°C.
- Normalizing and tempering (+NT): 900-960°C, air cooling. Tempering: 680-750°C, air cooling. Normalizing includes Normalizing Forming, Normalized Forming shall be carried out in a temperature range from 880-1000°C.
It may be necessary in the case of wall thickness T above 10 mm or T/D > 0.15 to apply quenching and tempering in order to achieve the intended structure and material properties.
