DIN 1.8509 Heat Treatments
- Forged at 1050 to 850°C;
Softening at 650 to 700°C;
Hardening in oil at 880 to 920°C and Tempering at 570 to 650°C;
Nitriding at 500 to 520°C; - Soft annealing: 650-750°C; Hardening: 870-930°C (0,5 h minimum), oil or water cooling; Tempering: 580-700°C (1 h minimum); Nitriding: 480-570°C.
