WL 1.4944 Heat Treatments
- Annealing and 5% drawing:
Heated at 900 ± 10°C for 1 h, oil or water quenched.
Annealing and 15-30% cold forming:
Heated at 900 ± 10°C for 1 h, oil or water quenched, 15-30% cold formed.
Precipitation hardening:
Solution annealed at 980 ± 10°C, oil or water quenched. Aged at 720 ± 10°C for 16 h, air cooled.
Solution annealing, cold strain hardening, aging:
Heated at 980 ± 10°C, oil or water quenched, 10-15% cold strain hardened, aged at 690 ± 10°C for 16 h, air cooled. - Annealing and cold forming:
Heated at 900 ± 10°C for 1h, quenched in water or oil. Cold formed 15-30%
Solution annealing:
Heated at 980 ± 10°C, quenched in water or oil.

Solution annealed at 980 ± 10°C, oil or water quenched. Aged at 720 ± 10°C for 16 h, air cooled.
