WL 1.4574 Heat Treatments


  • Solution heat-treated and quenched: solution annealing (1025-1055°C)/air or oil. Quenched and tempered or precipitation treated to higher strength: cold worked (470-490°C) 60 min/air.
  • Solution heat-treated and quenched: solution annealing (1025-1055°C)/air or oil. Quenched and tempered or precipitation treated to lower strength: process annealed (750-770°C) 90 min/cooled for 60 min at <= 20 °C >= 30 min + aged Quenched and tempered or precipitation treated: process annealed (945-965°C) 10 min/air <= 20 °C + subzero cooled <= -70 °C >= 8 h/air + aged (500-520°C) 60 min/air
