DIN 1.1165 Heat Treatments
- Castings are supplied in either the air hardened and tempered casting, or in the liquid quenched and tempered condition at two strength levels (I and II): Air Quenched and Tempered Hardening: 880-950°C; Tempering: 580-630°C Liquid Quenched and Tempered (I) Hardening: 880-950°C; Tempering: 630-680°C Liquid Quenched and Tempered (II) Hardening: 880-950°C; Tempering: 580-630°C
- Normalized (+N): 880 to 950°C, cooled in air (for information only);
QT1: Quenched: 880 to 950°C, cooled in liquid (for information only) and tempered from 630 to 680°C;
(+QT2): quenched from 880 to 950°C, cooled in liquid (for information only) and tempered from 580 to 630°C.
