GB 16Mn Heat Treatments
- Tempering temperature 600°C
- Normalizing, quenching and tempering:
For t ≤ 40 mm: Austenitizing at 890 - 950°C and cooling in air.
For 40 < t ≤ 250 mm: Austenitizing at 880 - 940°C quenching in oil or water and tempering at 580 - 650°C.
