PROPRIETARY VND 热处理
- Stress Relief: Relief temperature should be between 500 and 600°C, heating should be slow, as well as cooling inside the oven to 200°C.
Quenching: The heat for quenching should be between 790 and 820°C.
It is recommended to pre-warm the tools.
Cool in:
- Appropriate oil, with agitation and heated between 40 and 70°C.
-Molten salt bath, kept between 180 and 230°C.
- Calm air.
It cannot be vacuum quenched.
Tempering: The tools must be tempered immediately after tempering, as soon as they reach 60°C. Make at least 2 tempers and between each temper the parts must cool down to room temperature. Tempering temperatures should be chosen depending on the desired hardness. The time of each tempering must be at least 2 hours. For pieces larger than 70 mm, the time must be calculated as a function of their dimension. Allow 1 hour for each inch of thickness.
